I’ve have been visiting our local thrift store, and greedily gathering all of the vintage sheets, curtains and pillow cases for Elizabeth’s vintage sheet swap. These are my contributions. All together I sent off 79 fat quarters, and in exchange I get 75 different fat quarters back. Here is where the math comes in. Last [...]

The kids are thinking about having me checked out by a specialist in mental health, because the mail arrives and I’m squeeling, and jumping up and down, and grabbing at packages, and just generally acting like a ninny! Here’s why – these are the Big Miss Sunshine’s I referred to yesterday. Gals that just radiate [...]

Dear Video Store Clerk, Mall Checkout Chick, Hollister Dude, Supercenter Checker, (Fill in the blank),
Yea you, the one that waited on me yesterday. My experience with you yesterday has compelled me to write to you today. I’m just stupid enough to think you might read this and be moved by its content. I’d just [...]

1. A new bit of fabric stash.
Since I prayed the “Crafter’s Prayer of Resistance” before going into my favorite fabric store I only bought 1/4 of what I really wanted.
2. Old quilts.
3. Dying with Kool-Aid. Just google it and you will come up with the recipe.

Mushroom photo for The Food Group. This is the real thing. Below is the creative interpretation of a mushroom that arrived yesterday in my mail box! It is from Kitschy in the UK. I love it and honestly it is one of my favorites from the Toadstool Swap group. You can tell just by looking at it [...]
I'm a human being, sometimes fumbling through life, but more often amazed by the great glorious adventure that it is. If you want labels - I'm a stay at home mom, a tree hugger, a tightwad, a wife, a nerd, a jogger, a bookworm, a creative soul, a pretty good cook, a beloved child of God, an avid hobby photographer, a person who likes to dip her toes into all that life has to offer. In fact you might find that we have a lot in common, and that labels don't really explain the complexity of human beings.
Thanks for visiting me, I always love to hear from you! You can also email me at b(dot)jackie79(at)yahoo(dot)com
