Or in this case wait one entire year before swimming!

Or according to the local paper wait two entire years before swimming. Our local pool is cracked and broken and needs fixed. And it’s hotter than the flaming pits of h-e-double hockey sticks! Hope the ocean in Hawaii isn’t broken……
I'm a human being, sometimes fumbling through life, but more often amazed by the great glorious adventure that it is. If you want labels - I'm a stay at home mom, a tree hugger, a tightwad, a wife, a nerd, a jogger, a bookworm, a creative soul, a pretty good cook, a beloved child of God, an avid hobby photographer, a person who likes to dip her toes into all that life has to offer. In fact you might find that we have a lot in common, and that labels don't really explain the complexity of human beings.

Yikes!! Many days the community swimming pool is the very last thin strand of hope that keeps me from leaving these flaming pits for, say, Alaska. Permanently. Or so it will feel for the next 45 days. But Hawaii will be marvelous. If I close my eyes and concentrate I can smell pikaki flowers and taste fresh squeezed pineapple juice. Have one for me!!

Oh, yes..an hour turns into years!!..The beautiful ocean and the gorgeous waterfalls will be there for you, I promise. There may be too many people, but ignore them. You are the best!
Aloha nui loa…e
arrrrg! bummer. i have a kiddie pool for my lab, and sticking me feet in it really does cool me off…
How tradgic. Feel guilting loading our favourite pool (yes there is more than one) in the apartment complex on Flickr now…..
What a crime! Can’t the city just slather some caulk into the cracks? Our city is surrounded by water that is too polluted to swim in and doesn’t have a public pool, either. We make due with our kiddie pool and the garden hose–although Hawaii does sound a bit more refreshing!
Have a great trip!
